Tamil Actress Parvathi Menon

Tamil actress, Parvathi Menon, an actress from the Indian state of Kerala, is a rising star in the film business of India. Menon was born in the large city of Calicut in 1986. Parvathi’s claim to fame came when she auditioned for a Malayalam (i.e., a language central to India) film titled ” Out of Syllabus” in the year 2006. Fortunately for her, she got the role of Pooja Krishna easily. Before becoming an actress, though, she was a TV anchor of “Kiram TV” (i.e., a music channel in India). During the time she was an anchor, she also served as a person whom people could talk to on the phone; many people remember her by this position more than most others. Parvathi credits her small roles and appearances as being precursors to her current success as an actress.

Currently, however, Menon is pursuing a degree in English literature from the All Saints College in Kerala, while simultaneously perfecting her Bharatanatyam dancing skills (i.e., a very ancient dancing technique practiced in India). Some of the famous magic movies in which Menon has acted include: Vinodayathra, Milana (her biggest role), Flash, Poo, Male Barali Manju Irali, and Prithvi. Thus, Menon has had a huge impact on the media outlets of India, and her success will probably continue for years to come.

One of the films in which she starred is one of the great Tamil moviestitled “Poo”. In the film, a woman named Maari (i.e., Parvathi) falls madly in love with her coworker, Thangarasu. Maari’s entire life is focused on working in a flower shop, giving whatever money she makes to her grandmother who is very ill. Maari’s friend suggests that Maari tell Thangarasu how much she loves him; however, her father will not allow it. Unfortunately, Maari’s friend marries Thangarasu, while Maari marries another man because of her father’s orders. The film ends with Maari giving happiness to her father by dancing for him.
