I have waited for the opening of New Moon movie since I watched Twilight. I pre ordered my tickets online just to be sure that I did not miss seeing it on opening day. With the prices of movie tickets these days that’s saying a lot. I usually prefer to wait for it to come out on pay per view but not this one. I could not wait a second longer than I had to when it came to seeing New Moon.

The problem was the movie I built up in my head was much better than the actual movie they made. I am a huge Twilight saga fan so of course I have seen the movie several times and will buy the DVD when it comes out. I’m not saying the movie was a total flop; on the contrary it had some really great parts.

I was expecting something completely different because of what I had built up in my head so the movie was a bit of a let down for me. I have read all the Twilight books several times and have a specific idea of how they should play out on film. I do not think I am alone when I say that the Twilight New Moon movie is not exactly the same as the books.

The Twilight saga New Moon movie was a huge success and even though New Moon did not measure up, it will be just as big a success. When Stephanie Meyers wrote the Twilight series I’m sure she never dreamed that these books would have so much popularity. You can ask any person you see on the street if they know what The Twilight Saga is and unless they are living under a rock somewhere they will know exactly what you are referring to.

I am about to give you a spoiler alert if you have not seen the the New Moon film. Bella attends a birthday party in her honor at the Cullen’s house and gets a paper cut. The blood from the paper cut sets Jasper off and he goes after Bella. In the process of saving Bella, Edward pushes Bella out of the way and causes even more of an accident. Bella is surrounded by hungry vampires and things look like they may get out of hand.

This is one of the better scenes in the movie. After the accident at the birthday party, Edward decides to leave Bella for her own safety. All of the Cullen’s pack up and leave Forks. Bella goes into a deep depression and the only thing the helps her through this tough time is her dear friend Jacob and hearing Edwards voice.

She can only hear or see Edward when she is in danger so she is constantly putting her self at risk. There is something she does not know about her best friend Jacob. So Bella ends up in a world of werewolves and vampires. Bella finds her self being pursued yet again by vampires that want to kill her.

When she learns of the werewolves she has to depend on them to protect her since Edward is no were around. In the end she saves Edward from a horrible mistake that could end his life. She must choose between a werewolf and a vampire, who really holds her heart? Is it Jacob or Edward, you have to find the answer to that question when you watch the New Moon movie.

Something that has fascinated our mind for centuries is the use of movie magic tricks and magical illusions. As a result magic movies are growing ever popular from movies about magic to movies about the surreal.  The biggest phenomenon sweeping the world is the Twilight series. This worldwide craze has everyone in its grasp and The New Moon movie is tops on the list. The twilight saga is a hugely popular movie series. The love story that exists in a surreal movie light Twilight has always had a certain appeal with people of all ages. The Twilight books took off like a rocket and the movies have been even bigger. The anticipation of the next films proves that there is a real beauty in movie magic on the big screen. It takes a lot to put a hugely anticipated series of films like this together and New moon the second of four movies did not disappoint.

Magic in movies goes back centuries but it has not been until the last decade or two that magic has become so mainstream. Even more and more movies about magic are coming out with movie magic as a sole purpose such as the Harry Potter series which is full of wizardry and magic spells. The list of magic movies is long and distinguished. The illusionist was a great movie dealing with magic spells. Practical Magic was another great magic movie that had crowds fleeing to the theater to see it.

Some of the biggest names in magic and illusions perform nightly in Las Vegas from David Copperfield to the recent most popular Criss Angel. The most popular show of its kind Mindfreak has made magic mainstream and a nightly show to watch. David Blaine is also one of the most popular magicians as he has made himself known for doing death defying stunts in front of New York city using his mind over matter strategy to push the human body to extreme limits.

There are many magicmovies that you can find to show you how the pros started getting into magic tricks and began to make a name for themselves. A magic movie could be either a movie with a magician in it or perhaps an instructional DVD about magic tricks or illusions. Magic videos and magic books are available at any bookstore like Books-A-million or Barnes and Noble bookstores. The movies about magic can be found all over the internet and many of them are on youtube. Criss Angel and many other illusionists are all over the internet performing tricks in the street in front of hundreds of people with no trick photography. At any given time they can be seen roaming the streets of Las Vegas with video cameras in tow. These kind of youtoube movies about magic can be seen online at any time and you can purchase their movies about magic to try and learn yourself.

Magic the Gathering trading cards are hugely popular with the younger generation influencing kids of all ages wanting to buy magic movies to try to learn how to perform all kinds of tricks.  You can search the internet to find all kinds of magic books, videos, DVD’s, close-up magic, standup magic,  magic kits and more. Magic dvds are extremely popular and these days everyone is trying to find a way to live the glamorous lifestyle that people like Criss Angel have portrayed. Its easy to see why magic is becoming so mainstream with the onslaught of shows and magicians on today’s TV. Also Magic Movies like the Harry Potter series and the Chronicles of Narnia series have become hugely popular for all age groups.

The truth is if you want to learn magic and magic card tricks or become an expert illusionist like David Copperfield or Criss Angel then the best thing to do is pick up a book and some DVD’s on magic and learn from the pros on how to get started creating your own illusions.  You can find these at all sorts of online rental places like Netflex DVD rental and other online DVD movie sites. Just remember what the eyes and the body see, the mind believes.

Movies and magic have been around for many years and they have always been able to draw millions to the box office to see them and then going on to become box office hits. Harry Potter and the Twilight Series are the first two who come to mind when I think about this subject matter. From very small young children, teenagers and even adults, many love to watch movies about magic. Everywhere you look the movie studios are making just these types of movies that range in subject matter that entertains age groups from small children to adults. These magic movies can be about fairy god mothers to sorcery and witchcraft.

One of the all time favorite movies and it is still watched today and that is Bed Knobs and Broomsticks. This was a combination of both fantasy and magic. To go back in time some there have even been television shows and not just movies about magic. Some shows that come to mind is the long running classic about magic is the show Bewitched. This show was so popular during its original run that it has been syndicated and forty years after it began generation after generation is able to experience its contribution to fantasy and magic. In fact back in 2005 this show as remade into a movie starring Nicole Kidman as Samantha. A more modern show that can be found on the Disney Channel is the Wizards of Waverly Place. This hour long show has become a very popular hit with children of all ages and its popularity just continues to grow with each episode. Charmed is a modern day show about magic. It aired for about 8 years or so but it was about three sisters who have to live their lives as normally as possible while fighting off demons and keeping the world safe.

One great older movie with magic that comes to mind starred some of my favorite actors. This was Witches of Eastwick and it starred, Jack Nicholson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon. One of the biggest new hits is the Twilight series. This series of movies is expected to break records based on the fact that the first Twilight movie was a low budget hit that made hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. New Moon is the next Twilight movie to hit theaters due out in November and is set to break all sorts of movie records. This movie isn’t about magic but the theme of the movie is set in the same genre as other movies on magic. The Harry Potter movies, in the same genre as the Twilight Series, has been named the most successful of the magic movies series or fantasy since Star Wars was released.

The more I write the more magic shows and movies come to mind. If someone were to sit down and make a list to name movies and magic they would be surprised by the fact that their list would name hundreds of movies and television shows that have been about the subject of magic. As long as people are willing to go out or even stay home and watch movies about magic the studios will continue to create them to meet the demand of the audience.
