The latest craze The Twilight Saga is for sure what my wife is into and every other red blooded woman in the world. The Twilight books have become a worldwide phenomenon and the Twilight movies are even bigger. There are 4 in the series and each one keeps getting better. The Twilight movie itself was a huge success despite its very limited budget. However sequel New Moon is by far better and proves worthy as a big budget film.

It is always fun to watch the great drama framed up by the film makers, which drives one into a whole new world of magic and witchcraft. According to me, these have the ability to hold the breath of any kind of audience- with the art of misdirection and ability to convert the unbelievable into believable. I have a number of all-time favorites, and a space as small as this may not fit them all. Some of them, though, surely need a mention as follows:

The latest Harry Potter series has been keeping me busy for quite some time now. These are a perfect blend of modern magic. With an amazing story line, these are the adaptation of well written books which were similarly popular and were well talked about. The young and the old magicians that form the characters of the film are liked by one and all.

Mine and my wifes all time favorite is bewitched. It reflects a great symphony of magic and comedy. The movie bewitched was preceded by a series of Television show featured with the same name. A young, beautiful and naive witch, the protagonist of the movie, disavowed her supernatural powers for her human husband.

The Chronicles of Narnia is another product of a series of books. These have a gripping theme and are a perfect example of amazing witchcraft. Out of the two movies of the Chronicles of Narnia, my personal favorite is the first one. The concept of wardrobe being a door to a new world amazed my instincts.

The lord of the rings series is surely no miss. These created modern fantasy, a noticeable genre. A way to find movies about magicians is to scroll through YouTube. The YouTube platform allows one to broadcast video clips. These clips can be downloaded for free for public viewing.

The excitement, fun and the suspense that these magic movies about magicians unleash is incomparable. These can actually make a great family past time. There is no better way to get your kids focused on the television than by showing them anything to do with movies about magic.

One of the all time favorite movies and it is still watched today and that is Bed Knobs and Broomsticks. This was a combination of both fantasy and magic. To go back in time some there have even been television shows and not just movies about magic. Some shows that come to mind is the long running classic about magic is the show Bewitched. This show was so popular during its original run that it has been syndicated and forty years after it began generation after generation is able to experience its contribution to fantasy and magic.

In fact back in 2005 this show as remade into a movie starring Nicole Kidman as Samantha. A more modern show that can be found on the Disney Channel is the Wizards of Waverly Place. This hour long show has become a very popular hit with children of all ages and its popularity just continues to grow with each episode. Charmed is a modern day show about magic. It aired for about 8 years or so but it was about three sisters who have to live their lives as normally as possible while fighting off demons and keeping the world safe.

One great older movie with magic that comes to mind starred some of my favorite actors. This was Witches of Eastwick and it starred, Jack Nicholson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon. One of the biggest new hits is the Twilight series. This series of magic movies is expected to break records based on the fact that the first Twilight movie was a low budget hit that made hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office.

New Moon is the next Twilight movie to hit theaters due out in November and is set to break all sorts of movie records. This movie isn’t about magic but the theme of the movie is set in the same genre as other movies on magic. The Harry Potter movies, in the same genre as the Twilight Series, has been named the most successful of the magic movie
series or fantasy since Star Wars was released.

The more I write the more magic shows and movies come to mind. If someone were to sit down and make a list to name movies and magic they would be surprised by the fact that their list would name hundreds of movies and television shows that have been about the subject of magic. As long as people are willing to go out or even stay home and watch movies about magic the studios will continue to create them to meet the demand of the audience.
