The movie called “Magic” was an incredible one involving a person who fails at his first attempt at professional magic because he has no show business personality. He ends up becoming a schizophrenic ventriloquist but it is a great film. These days though it is The Twilight Saga that has everyone on a terror to get to the movie theater. The Twilight series is a huge one to say the least and with only the second of four movies out it is already breaking records.

Another meaningful type of magic movie is considered to be those movies that have some type of magic or sorcery style in them. Movies like Harry Potter, Practical Magic, and The Race To Magic Mountain. These magic movies all have one thing in common, they portray some sort of magical spells in their plot. Harry Potter is the most popular movies franchise in movie making history and its use of magic has the world reading about sorcery and magic tricks whether fictional or not.

There have been several movies based on magic and sorcery for kids of all ages and it has become a phenomenon. There are also of course the superpower movies that show us the supernatural such as the Spiderman, Superman and Iron Man movies. These movies defy the laws of nature and anything we perceive as real yet we are fascinated by their fictional display.

You also have of course summer magic movie instructional DVD’s that who you step by step how to perform magic tricks. You can learn everything from magic card tricks, fire magic, magic coin tricks, levitation and master illusions. The art of illusion has always been fascinating with the public. We always have an affection for the mysterious and anything that can disappear and reappear out of thin air is always going to grab out attention. Cities like Las Vegas thrive on magic shows and tricks. Whenever you visit the city of sin you will see billboards everywhere displaying magicians and illusionists magic shows at the various casinos all around the strip.

The biggest craze going right now are the Twilight movies series. They follow a series of books that have taken the world by storm. Now the silver screen has brought them to life. The first movie was a huge success despite its very low budget. The next is Twilight New moon which is slated to break all sorts of records. Now going to the theater is never easy but with these and all others you want to see you can stay in the comfort of your own home and watch movies online for free.

Instructional magic movie dvds are a great way for young potential magicians to get their start in becoming a magician. Cris Angel had to start somewhere and why not get your start by learning from magic movie DVDs and perform for your family and friends. You tend to be more comfortable performing in front of people you know so if you get some confidence and decide you want to really into performing magic tricks then a magician might just be in your future.

One of the all time favorite movies and it is still watched today and that is Bed Knobs and Broomsticks. This was a combination of both fantasy and magic. To go back in time some there have even been television shows and not just movies about magic. Some shows that come to mind is the long running classic about magic is the show Bewitched. This show was so popular during its original run that it has been syndicated and forty years after it began generation after generation is able to experience its contribution to fantasy and magic.

In fact back in 2005 this show as remade into a movie starring Nicole Kidman as Samantha. A more modern show that can be found on the Disney Channel is the Wizards of Waverly Place. This hour long show has become a very popular hit with children of all ages and its popularity just continues to grow with each episode. Charmed is a modern day show about magic. It aired for about 8 years or so but it was about three sisters who have to live their lives as normally as possible while fighting off demons and keeping the world safe.

One great older movie with magic that comes to mind starred some of my favorite actors. This was Witches of Eastwick and it starred, Jack Nicholson, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon. One of the biggest new hits is the Twilight series. This series of magic movies is expected to break records based on the fact that the first Twilight movie was a low budget hit that made hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office.

New Moon is the next Twilight movie to hit theaters due out in November and is set to break all sorts of movie records. This movie isn’t about magic but the theme of the movie is set in the same genre as other movies on magic. The Harry Potter movies, in the same genre as the Twilight Series, has been named the most successful of the magic movie
series or fantasy since Star Wars was released.

The more I write the more magic shows and movies come to mind. If someone were to sit down and make a list to name movies and magic they would be surprised by the fact that their list would name hundreds of movies and television shows that have been about the subject of magic. As long as people are willing to go out or even stay home and watch movies about magic the studios will continue to create them to meet the demand of the audience.
