Movies about magicians have been around for decades. Once going through YouTube, I came across a show named Bewitched. With loads of time in-hand, I thought better to explore the show. A thirty minute show changed all my opinions about magician movies. I always thought that movies about magicians were meant for kids and actually made keeping the younger age group in mind. But the perfect blend of comedy and magic of the show pushed me in to further research into this genre of magic movies.

Movies about magicians unleash the hidden mysteries of a magical world. With non-human and half-human character imaginations, these force me into serious thinking. They sometimes make you actually believe that there may exist in a world other than this and may also create an urge to acquire such supernatural powers.

The Harry Potter series has got children and men of all age group watching. These absolutely frame such a spell bounding virtual reality that each individual is forced into the world of Hogwarts and magic. A movie series based on the adaptation of the series of books by the name of Harry Potter, is a must watch for one and all.

The other set of movies which feature witchcraft and wizardry are The Chronicles of Narnia. These are also the visualization of the set of books and only two books in the series have been made into movies.

A while ago, two movies that were made were the Illusionist and the Prestige. The Prestige has a simple story line with a much more complicated plot. It is based on a physicist who makes a machine which can transport any individual from one place to another in the blink of an eye. It is an intelligent thriller and keeps the magic ongoing till the last moment. On the other hand, the former has a smaller fan following but still was a good piece of magician movie making. Its dusty, muted, dark, green – brown light is way too perfect for the film set up. This movie made the role of director of Photography ocular in the creation of virtual reality.

These movies about magicians are exciting and very thrilling. Talking from my personal experience, they hold a great charm in captivating even the non- movie lover group.
